What to do in Cornwall this Easter 2025
Easter is a magical time to visit Cornwall. The woodlands come alive with carpets of bluebells, the beaches remain blissfully quiet, and the seasonal dog bans haven’t yet come into effect – meaning the whole family, including four-legged friends, can explore together. With Cornwall’s typically milder spring temperatures, it’s the perfect time for a refreshing countryside escape.
This year, we’re making Easter even more special for our guests at The Cornish Place with our brand-new Easter Egg Hunt! Join us between 10th and 24th April for a fun-filled, family-friendly adventure on our beautiful nature trail – complete with locally made chocolate prizes from Josh’s Chocolate.
Keep reading to discover all the best Easter Egg Hunts in Cornwall, plus more fantastic family-friendly days out to make the most of your Easter break.
The Cornish Place Easter egg hunt
One of the many fantastic Easter Egg Hunts in Cornwall, our Easter trail offers a fun and unique twist. Instead of searching for hidden eggs, you’ll be collecting letters at different points along our nature trail to spell out a special Easter-themed word. Solve the puzzle, and you’ll earn a delicious, locally-made Easter egg from Josh’s Chocolate as your prize.
This pet-friendly Easter hunt ensures that your four-legged companions can join in too, with no risk of finding (or eating!) chocolate along the way.
As you follow the trail, you’ll enjoy spending time in nature, spotting common plants like nettles and dock leaves, plus some early blooming flowers, waiting to be discovered. Keep an eye out for butterflies, beetles, and ladybirds as they start to emerge in the spring sunshine.
Next, you’ll wander through some of the 700 trees we’ve planted at The Cornish Place over the years. Can you identify them by their leaf shapes? It’s the perfect opportunity for kids and grown-ups alike to learn more about local wildlife and biodiversity in a fun, interactive way.
With a mix of adventure, education, and chocolate rewards, our Easter Egg Hunt is the perfect family-friendly activity to enjoy during your stay.
