The Cornish Place is a 26-acre Victorian Dairy Farm found down the narrow tree-lined lanes of West Cornwall. Boasting 11 fields of lush pasture and pretty wildflower meadows, it is a wonderful place to slow down and connect to nature. Where is The Cornish Place?
The Cornish Place is nestled within 26 acres of rolling countryside. Our luxury Cornish cottages have stunning views of the surrounding fields and hills, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of busy lives.
We are in a great position, just seven miles from both the north and south coasts of Cornwall, meaning that whilst we are in a quiet area it is still very easy to explore the whole county.
Stithians is our nearest village, which is one mile away and easily accessed by car. You can also access the village on foot within thirty minutes, via the bridleways and footpaths which lead from our gate.

About our self-catered Cornish cottages
Sleeping up to sixteen people in total, our small group of Cornish cottages are designed with ultimate relaxation in mind. All have stunning interiors, large private gardens and surround our central courtyard and hangout place – The Piggery.

Our luxury Cornish cottages have underfloor heating, hot tubs or outdoor baths, a firepit and barbeque. Most of them also come with their own wood burning stove, which we provide wood for.
Dog-friendly and family-friendly cottages in Cornwall
Cornwall is a very dog-friendly place and we love to welcome your four-legged companions. We offer dog-friendly and family-friendly cottages, perfect for the whole family.
There is a secure playing field and dog-walking field on site, which you are welcome to roam and explore as you please. If you need assistance with childcare, or require dog sitting services, please let us know and we will do our best to help.

The Stables
The Stables three bedroomed self catered holiday cottage in Cornwall.

Converted from the original Victorian stone stables, this three-bedroom cottage overlooks a gorgeous wildflower meadow, and is ideal for families and friends to share. Complete with a hot tub, underfloor heating and sensational decor, the Stables is a true haven.
The master suite comes with a king-sized bed and fantastic rainfall shower. The two other rooms can be organised as twins or ziplinked into superkings. All come dressed in Egyptian Cotton linen for nothing short of the finest night’s sleep.
The open plan kitchen/ living area has a woodburning stove, perfect for cosy nights in. You can also expect a fully-equipped kitchen with modern amenities, including a coffee machine, washer-dryer and dishwasher.
The enclosed garden has a barbecue and woodfired hot tub. The garden is east facing, making for lovely breakfasts bathed in morning light.

The Barn

Converted from the Victorian stone barn and facing west for stunning sunsets, this two-bedroomed cottage is a perfect rustic hideaway. With a combination of high-ceilings, modern decor and exposed wooden beams, The Barn is the ultimate combination of cosy and comfortable.
The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and a roll-top cast iron bath for added luxury. There are also doors into the garden, perfect for a night-cap or morning coffee spent al fresco.
The second room can be arranged with twin beds or as a superking depending on which you prefer.
The kitchen/ living area comes with a woodburning stove and all of the required modern amenities. The outdoor shed has a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The Barn comes into its own in the evenings, where you can enjoy an evening tipple in the wood-fired hot tub watching a blazing Cornish sunset.

The Dairy
The Dairy two bedroomed contemporary holiday cottage in Cornwall.

Welcome to the Dairy, the perfect space to relax and unwind. Built from scratch in 2022 to blend in with our existing farm conversions, it is the most spacious and contemporary of our self-catered Cornish cottages.
The master bedroom is superking-sized with a free-standing stone bath. Positioned perfectly next to a window, you can watch stunning sunsets whilst enjoying an evening soak.
The second room comes with bunk beds – a small double underneath a full sized single.
The large open plan kitchen/ living area has a vaulted ceiling, woodburning stove, modern appliances and is decorated with natural materials, giving it a warm and contemporary feel.
The Dairy also has a fantastic enclosed garden, with a large deck, woodfired hot tub, barbeque and sunset views over the Cornish countryside.
For larger groups, The Dairy can be combined with the Shed to make The Dairy Shed, which accommodates a total of six people, plus an infant. You can learn more about The Dairy here.
The Shed
The Shed one bedroomed Luxury Cornish holiday cottage.

Perfect for a solo or couples getaway, the Shed is a cute bolthole nestled in a nature-filled corner of Cornwall. Complete with an outdoor bathtub and firepit, staying here makes for a truly unique break. Please note that the Shed is not appropriate for children, however each of our other Cornish cottages are.
The master bedroom has a fantastic four-poster superking-sized bed, offering an unrivalled night of sleep. There is also a sofa and smart TV for quiet nights in.
The ensuite bathroom has a rainfall shower, whilst the outdoor bath tub is perfect for stargazing. There is very little light pollution here, giving you an excellent chance of seeing the constellations.
The kitchen has modern amenities and a cute breakfast bar with views over the fields.
Outdoors, the enclosed garden also has a decking area, fire pit and barbecue.

The Woodshed Gym
The Woodshed gym at The Cornish Place.
Our goal is to make your time in Cornwall a relaxing and indulgent break, whilst making it as much a home away from home as possible. We welcome you to use our Woodshed micro-gym, complete with a weights rack, rowing machine and state-of-the-art Peloton bike. Perfect for working off those holiday excesses and far enough from the cottages that you won’t disturb anyone, simply book a slot and the space is yours.
What else is in the area?
The nearby village of Stithians, just one mile away, has a pleasant village pub – The Seven Stars Inn – and a couple of convenience stores for last-minute supplies.
Stithians Reservoir is also nearby, with a great watersports centre where you can try your hand at sailing, windsurfing, paddleboarding and more.
If you prefer cycling, we are close to the Mineral Tramway bike trail and can help arrange bike hire for you, with prior notice.
With easy access to both the north and south coast of Cornwall, you can easily drive from The Cornish Place to some of Cornwall’s finest beaches. The south coast is best for swimming and paddleboarding, whilst the north coast is well-known for surfing.
There are also plenty of fantastic walks to enjoy, both inland and coastal.
